WELCOME REFUGEES

Welcome Refugees provides a wide range of support to refugees arriving in the United States - the majority are women and children. Welcome Refugees, with its team of extraordinary Volunteers has helped over 500 Afghan families secure housing, source home furnishings, housewares, move families into their apartments, make the beds, hang the towels, fill the refrigerator, register children for school, enroll moms in ESL classes, help dads get drivers licenses, find living-wage jobs and continues to provide needed support to each family until they are on solid ground as they work to rebuild their lives in their new home country.

Welcome Refugees plans to host a financial literacy training in the Fall of 2027 for refugees who are settled in the DMV area.
