WELCOME REFUGEES
Welcome Refugees program is designed to provide support for refugees arriving in the United States of which the majority are women and children. Welcome Refugees, with its team of extraordinary Volunteers, secures housing and sources home furnishings and housewares, moves families into their apartments, makes the beds, hangs the towels, fills the refrigerator, registers children for school, enrolls moms in ESL classes, helps dads get drivers licenses, find living-wage jobs and continues to provide support to each family for as long as necessary until they are on solid ground as they work to rebuild their lives in their new home country.
Welcome Refugees will host a financial literacy training in the Fall of 2022 for arriving refugees.
PB&J (Pillows, Beds and Joy) and IWDC will host a Community Bed Build in Manassas, VA in the Fall of 2022.
